Day 8 of Bejing Olympics: Highlights

Swimming Sensation Tao Li Broke the Asian Record for the 100m Butterfly with a timing of 57.54s. Became the first Singaporean to enter a Swimming final at the Olympics. She came fifth in her 200m butterfly heats and broke the national record. Amazing.

(Unable to find video of her on youtube)

Next up should be the female table tennis team of Singapore. Superb stuff from them have led Singapore to capture the second medal in 48 years. The most releived Singaporean of all will be Tan Howe Liang. He commented, "I am tired of reporters asking me the same questiong every four years."
LOL.

Michael Phelps. Best olympian of all time after his 7th Gold medal this morning at the 100m butterfly. His best race so far, winning with a margin of 0.01sec. He used an extra half a stroke and hence touching the wall earlier than his opponent. WOOT. mind blowing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNKrQBGdYW0 Embedding of the video is not allowed.

Another of his best races, 4X100M Freestyle relay. But , that race was pratically on by his team mater John Lezak though.

SHOCKER
Janos Baranyai was trying to snatch 148kg(326lbs.) in his third lift in the men's 77-kg division, when his elbow popped out of socket.
No longer able to support the weight of the barbell, his right forearm bent backward. The 24-year-old Hungarian fell to the floor in shock, shaking and crying out in pain.

Best Country so far. China. Sweeping events like Synchro diving, Gymnastics, Table tennis, Weightlifting.

Olympics History:

I am aiming to break his record. =D
