This blog skin got to go.

Anyway, my previous post has no reflection of my current relationship status. It is just some tweet that I found it very meaningful.

The past week has been meetup sessions with Mel and the Gay family.
Sometimes, we tend to think that the other party may not be free to meet up. This results in both parties not wanting to contact each other. Well, assumption is not going to create any conclusion. A simple message is all it takes to solve the unsolved question.

After yesterday's dinner, I must say that BBQ buffet is not the thing for me. Seoul Garden at Marina Square is kind of awful. Their flooring is not done properly. The layout of their food selection was kind of misplaced. 26 bucks was not well spent at all.

Outing with the victorians. Kind of sad that this month's prata breakfast has to coincide with the champions league finals. This, unfortunately, resulted in many of us not able to wake up for the free prata. LOL. The match was totally one sided man. No teams in the world can match up to them. Not even the supposedly best team from England. I use the word "supposedly" because MANC has not overtake Liverpool in terms of European Cup titles won. Hence, we shall call MANC the best DOMESTIC team in England. A big thanks to Mascherano for dedicating the UCL win to Liverpool, in your face Neville.

POTC4 was good. The storyline was an adaptation from the novel, A Stranger Tides. It was kind of predictable. The crazy antics of Jack Sparrow makes me think of someone. Hmm... But anyway, the part where he had to choose to save either Black Beard or Angelica, it was so obvious that he would be saving the damsel. A good learning point for everyone, to know your enemy well so as to know the best method to counter them.

That's all I guess.

Too Late

I'm holding on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
I'm hearin what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

I'd take another chance, take a fall
Take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But it's nothin new
I loved you with a fire red-
Now it's turning blue, and you say...
"Sorry" like the angel heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

Flipping

I should have flipped to the dark side a few years back, together with you. By being myself, it was just a detrimental move that lead to such headache now.
This lack of sleep is not doing me any good. But I am just going to push through. I made the first step and I shall end it with my last.

Choice

I have made it, n thus, i will move on with it. Whatever the outcome is, it is up to you to decide. I have been trying to show how much you mean to me, but if my actions still do not move you. I really have nothing else to say.

Thank You

ML. Another new perspective to that make me sit up and listen. Thanks alot! Although you often catch me at the wrong times, but I will still treasure what you have told me tonight. =)

Come to think of it, this is the first time I went down to 85 but bought no food.

True People

In times like these, you really know who really stand by you. Those who bother to call you, type out long messages to comfort you, sit by the bed to relate their past experiences to you.

I just have to tell myself to live life for myself and not for others anymore. I have seen a clearer picture and the fact that people are selfish. At the end of the day, you are just a pawn in your game. They won't tell you their moves up till the final one. Even when you are willing to lose a bit of your pride to regain that tiny amount of salvation from them, they won't even budge a bit.

A huge lesson this semester. I have woken up. It is time for me to stand up, be myself and work for my own future. Not others.

A Big Thanks to my Sister and Melvin.
Should I or should I not?

Petition

In the wake of the elections, petitions have been springing up like wild mushrooms in the internet. My newsfeed is flooded with friends asking me to join this petition to bring BG(NS) George Yeo back, get him to replace Tin Pei Ling in Marine Parade, others in the pro-opp camp wants a by-election to be held in Potong Pasir, others demand another recount as they believe the margin was too small.

I have been ignoring all these requests, except for the one that is campaigning for BG(NS) George Yeo to be running for presidency. My reasons are very simple. The acts of creating petitions and the participation in them, reflects badly in Singapore's image as a democratic country. These petitions belittle our electoral process and will impede the development of democracy in Singapore.

Firstly, I believe in the fair and open elections in Singapore. Some people had told me not to be naive in my thinking, others have said the fear is still there. Well, I am utterly disappointed to hear all these. If indeed those allegations were true, then I would like to ask, why are these people still voting for the incumbent? Do you still believe in its legitimacy to run this country? If there is a chance that the incumbent party becomes inefficient or corrupt, will they still vote for them out of fear? Most importantly, a fair and free elections is the fundamental feature of a democracy. To deny is citizens of that constitutional right, will mean that the state has failed in upholding the founding belief this nation was built on.

There are sources online to read up on it. http://wp.sg/your-vote-is-secret Some may say that this is a biased source, since this is from the opposition website. But hey, these are all verified by all the opposition representatives when they went to incinerate the votes. Another point to consider that the vote is a secret, is to look at the residents of Hougang and Potong Pasir. I do not see all of them disappearing one by one each day for the past 20 years and 27 years respectively.

So, with these petitions rallying for a by-election at Potong Pasir, I personally feel that Singaporeans are just undermining the whole electoral system. It is fair and open system. Both the PAP and SPP candidate were at the counting centre to witness the vote counting process, thus I believe no Singaporean should question the final result. All I can say to those 200+ people who voided their vote, it is your fault for not taking a stand.

Secondly, this petition reflects the maturity level of the society. This elections, without any doubt, has increased the political awareness of many Singaporeans. The older ones have finally feel empowered with the chance to vote and the first time voters have realized the importance of their choice. With the increase of blog posts, facebook notes and the debates on online forum, there is not a single suspicion that Singaporeans have rise up to challenge the label of being "politically apathetic".
However, being involved and politically active is different from being a mature one. The petitions have clearly shown the society's lack of maturity. The results have been tallied, and the choices of the people who have voted for the PAP is clear. Therefore, in order for the society to progress, the respect for every individual's wishes must be recognized.

Exams Are Over.

So is the elections. Now what?
