Long dued post...
Straight to topic. This is somehow like the SJI version, whereby the exceutive committee claims to introduce some "ideas" for the greater good of the school. At Victoria, they want VS and VJ to come together for the IP programme, but due to the not so outstanding O levels results of VS, VJ is constantly on the push to either bring in another all girls school, or leave VS in the lurch and set up a programme identical to that of NJC, taking in students from Sec 1.
When I heard of this, I understand where the excos point is coming from. Taking a look at RI, HCI, NJ, it is time Victoria should follow the elites, try to join the so called "Big Four". You know, you can never lose out in this society...
Well, In doing so, I still do not believe you should just chase after things aimlessly. Correct, the elites are heading their own programmes and everything. But take a step back and look, there are students who do not want to be elites, they want an education more than just grades. An all round education. Instead of joining the top, why not review the style of education you are giving, is it the one the students that want to join you craves for?
Furthermore, other than the type of education you want to provide. What about the Roots of where you came from? By bringing in sec 1s into your 6 year programme, you are directly taking students who can enter VS into your arms. If I am a parent now, if I have a choice to got Vs or VJ, I will definitely choose VJ. Why? ultimately, you want your kid to enter University, and VJ obviously will bring you a step closer, cause you have passed the O levels hurdle, you only have 6 years of A lvls to focus on. And by directly challening your affiliated school, and futhermore, the one that gave birth you roughly 30 years ago? That sounds like a grown up adult not wanting to give maintenance fee to their parent.
Guess that are the 2 main points why I am against.
Another thing that should be highlighted is that why MOE is allowing schools to open 6 years programme again? When it was something that rejected like 20 years ago or more, if I am not wrong? In the past before junior colleges were set up, pre-uni education were offered in selective secondary schools. As the demand grew, the government saw the need, and hence built more Junior colleges. And funny thing was that, Meridian, a new JC was built at Pasir Ris to cope the so called increasing demand. And the next thing you see, the Raffles Family combining to offer the IP, then comes NJC, taking in Sec 1, Hwa Chong and Nanyang Girls, then Dunman High and River Valley High coming up with their own stuff, then VJ and TJ with their 4 year Integrated Programme.
What the...??? And with further reports to show that there is more trend of single pointers heading to polytechnics. So will we see Junior Colleges merging sooner or later? Am puzzled why the government go to such lengths to buil 17 JCs and now to allow so man intergrated programmes, greatly reducing the demand for students taking A lvls. Well, you may say give the students more choice, I would see it as a waste of resources.

Long weekend and Long run ahead!
Last week was total madness, slept 4 hours from 4am to 8am 2 days in a row , and was so freaking hectic.
Talk about saturday, Had to go to fass in the morning, cos my parents want to see how it looks like. But after attending one career talk, they just hang around and left. HUH?? Met up with long lost Mao Lin. Suddenly he is back for more action.lol. With Mr Chew too.
After talking to some of the people at the different booths, just reassured me of what I aimed to do. Will still stick by it. Philosophy is really one subject that will go round and round man. We were like discussing about it with this guy for like half an hour. I was like lost towards the end. "there won't be any end to the whole cycle man." but mr mao seemed so interested.
Lunch at Carl's Junior. Well, just 2 years and so much things happened and change. I was quite taken aback, but at the same time, things were inevitable. One moment, all is well, next moment, u find that u may be unable to walk, and so many complications arise. Thankfully, Mr Mao is all well and will be my fellow faculty mate.
VJCO concert. Missed Chun. Oops. And Pirates of Carribbean is composed by... Ting Kai. Every year he seems to be on some project to come out wth his own compositions. I would rate it as one of the better pieces. Meeting Juniors are very rewarding thing, they greet you, ask how are you. This special bond that surfaces. Even more rewarding when you see someone in the same section, rised to play solo pieces, and furthermore, not the instrument he started out with. Really admirable. Well Done Michael =)
Chionged back to my house, changed and chiong out to Jasmine's bdae. Same location as Ai Ting's party. There was really a compeition for the best dressed. OOps. hahas. As usual, catch up with the seniors. hardcore lan through the night.
Came back home and wasnt a good sight.
Navy open house the next day. Sun was unforgiving. only managed to go up to PV, but saw me ex A Ops Sir!! I was so last for words that I called him Captain. Cos i just stared at the ran. LOL. So qiao. Forgot to take a pic with him =(. Tried to get onto Reso, but failed Terribly. lol. Sian, couldnt go onboard my mother ship. Waiting time to go to the ships were kinda of crazy. some were like 90 mins. They should have screeend the Inter and Bayern match, and I would have considered like joining the queue. LOL
Wow, I taught my kid , and he got top in class. but due to carelessness and they stupidity of the teacher, whole level only 1 person passed by .5 mark. Holy. My kid, failed but topped the class. so ironic. Sometimes, teaching is kind of rewarding, like when u identify his problems, you know it happened to you in the past and you will advice him on ways to rectify it. But then again, he may not heed your advice. Because what you told him, was based on what I have experienced and not him. You can say, he listens, but he may not apply. So this is the tricky part about teaching, you have to really be convincing.
Good day rest at home. Finally changed my atm card, I see a master logo now. Proudly say I have a master in my wallet. LOL. Yea.. finalising everything.woot.

Busy busy
Chelsea! And what a wonderful finish. Well done! Congrats to tottenham too, gave Liverpool a good awakening session. Bad thing now is that benitez does not want to budge... Haiz, just bring in klinsman and shouldn't have even yo sold to americal who like to use credit to take control of stuff. Look at these 2 robbers now, screwing the future of the whole club. Should just have sold it to the middle eatern peeps. Look at the way the spend money.. hahas
run run run. Didn't know I could complete 14.5km. Wl house to fort road and back. I just can't seem to maintain a constant pace. Just keep playin catch up. Gee. This is bad. 3 more weeks. Time to start the frequency of training.
Onto tv, hooked onto 败犬女王. Completed e whole series, and m back to listening to fish leong's music. I think I m in love with ethan Ruan 0.o... But anyway, key thing lies in communication. You may assume the situation, but then is it truly what happened? In life, many a times we keep waiting for that someone or something to occur, hoping thongs will b back to e same as where it started. and when it does happen, feelings has changed, things has changed, habit has changed and people too has changed.
Survivor had another wonderful episode. Blew my mind off, rusell has completely lose the plot. Tried to spread some rumour, but totally backfired. How could u underestimate the bond between Parvati n danielle? Yes, no doubt u have sacrificed 2 hidden idols for her, but people seldom repay gratitude, instead they only want u to make them feel save. And Parvati n danielle r not stupid, 2 of e smartest players around to sense that something has become fishy. Watching all these is like going through life lessons everyday.
4 more weeks. School please come quickly.

48 Hours
Met up with Mel, Checkup was fast. Red alert on weight, shit man, irregular meal and late night sleep is totally screwing what I gained back in Decemeber. I need to be gorged to death in taiwan. Sakae Buffet at city link, but the aircon there is hardcore to the max.But kinda of cool, didnt know that as long as you are still under 21, u are entitled to the student buffet meal. $16!
Run and run and run the next day. Not sure if I am making any improvements. totally max out. Kinda of enjoyed the half naked run..hahas...had a con meal at Swensens. Well, the sambal grilled fish was kinda of small in portion, gee. will try the mega burger next time.
IP man was totally a propaganda show. But i liked it cos im chinses. LOL. but ok, the fighting moves were super awesome. Huang Jin Bao still can fight at his age and size. Amazed.
Jay chou's new songs sounds weird. But it has always been the case, his songs need time to get use to.
Oh well, time flies like a freaking torpedo, like the one that sunk the South Korean Warship. left around 6 weeks before going to end work and head for taiwan!!!
Procrastinate and procrastinate. shit. take a gun and shoot me.
Yay, collection of new passport tmr! 3 21st birthdays this mth with the adidas sundown. Woot.
