Navy has been fun. Really different from Infantry. Tell more when I have the time. Changing my blogskin colour to suit my vocation. LOL. Lame.

This year, i felt like a teacher kind of status. So many people relaying their probs to me. Of course, I am glad to lend you my ear. many of these problems I realised I faced it before. Thinking back now, all I can say is that. Your worries that you have, may come true. It happened for me. keep thinking about the worst, and indeed it was the reason. but all in all, if you still believe something is worth to be chased after, go ahead. If not, let time heals, move on with life with your new acclaimed experience. Sad and sorrow is inevitable, it is part of life. It is only because of that, our life is then filled with more pages of wonderful memories.

POP on 12th of March 2008

This a super late post. LOL. Must blog about it. Once in a life time event. It is to ji siao the April batch of PRE ENLISTEES.

The day basically started off with a very yummy breakfast of Hokkien mee. Our last breakfast at tekong. For me lah. We went back to our bunk, do our area cleaning. This was the first area cleaning that we enjoyed the most, pulling my entire cupboard away, flinging the table upside down, talking cock and reminiscing the past. We did the best area cleaning BUT we still got pumped in the end.

Packed all our barang barang, drew arms and off we marched to the MPU. Forgot the acroynm. Parade Meeting Point. Or whatever. From far can see the grandstand , all filled with people. hahas. Then, It started. All Along I have been watching from NDP from the parades. Now 18 years and 8 months, I am involved in one. LOL. Dark clouds were looming, but luckily no rain lor. HENG AH!

At the end of everything, we kept taking pics, the parade square was the only place In singapore i think u can see so many NS guys cam whoring lo. KK let the pics do the explanation later. Hmm quite nolstagic to leave the place. Waved to Sergeant nazrul and Sergeant kong. Their friendly smiles and teaching , I won't forget=)

hahas, booked out this morning, or rather afternoon, 12pm. Am back home now, but going out after that, Wah hiong leh. Anyway, loads of storyt o talk about. ahahs. A week at panglima is full or excitement sia.

Vantage Point

Yohoo. Went to watch Vantage Point. This is my second movie of the Block Leave. Kind of sad sia. Went BACK to City Hall for the third time this block leave. LOL. Walked all the way to Marina Square. Walk and walk.



This show is not bad except for the smart idea of the producer or director. there was a total of seven flashbacks. The whole cinmea were like groaning at the same time when the whole movie just go back to the flashback. Kind of sian att he first half like what YiLiang siad. The second half was very exciting though. US was smart. but the terrorists were even smarter. At last, the little girl saved the president. Hahas. But all in all, the movie was superb exciting and keep u on the toes. U willl just get pissed off at the start.

Walked around Marina Square. YL is going Combat engineer. Wish him all the best down there =D Mr Teng is going to be a Recruit... WISH HIM ALL THE BEST TOO =P

Outing with MJCO Comm

Went to breeks to makan with Mr Ng and the co comm. JR is super amazing la.

Went late cos had to deal with My posting. So yeah. breeks. Food not bad. ordered too little though. Didnt felt full after eating the mushroom creamed sauce sphagetti. me n josh then decided to order this ice cream called Massive Attack. It comes in a magnified cup. Those wine cup. Don't know what is it called. At first we thought, ok la, 3 guys mah, me josh and jr , can complete the whole thingy.But as we ate, we felt cold. The more we ate, the colder we felt. Ulitmate feeling sia. Orgas...


Went to arcade after that. Jr again most qian bian, keep saying he wil lose in the daytona. in the end, came out first. -_-" Played the basketball machine. First time played 39 %. Second time when I played.. 69%. Weird.

Decided to go home after that, cos there seem to be nthing else at suntec. We thought the bowl at the SAFRA Tampines, so we headed there. the waiting list was like another 40 people la. We gave up the idea and decided to go play darts. haahs. Quite fascinated by it. JR became the big winner and also the biggest loser. He won all 3 games. the last round he scored above 500. The man in charge told us too alte that those who can get a score of above 500 can get a free membership and a free darts set. he told us that while we were walking out of SAFRA -_-"

Had a fun day. Didnt know i could talk that much to Josh. Gained more info bout engineering courses. Hmm. that was about it. Josh going SISPEC. All the best sergeant. =D

Changi Naval Base... here I come!

I am officially posted to Changi Naval Base. I don't know what the short from represents. But i hope it will be a good one. LOL. Due to sensitivity of SAF, i don't think I will post it out here. Just that , yeah la, I think i go navy le. Wohoo. Navy Boy=D

So far my platoon that i know of have 6-7 people heading to OCS. SISPEC got a few. Regimental police, Navy Coast Guard, Combat Engineer, Armour. Alot of different ones.

Oh yeah, this morning when i woke up, found out that i go rejected by the Air Force. So sadded. Sob Sob.

I have busted one month's of my allowance. MAdness. Shangri la buffet, Pizza Hut, burger king, breeks, 1.90 can drink ( SAFRA Tampines). Financial spending going to be derailed.

Oh well, after my posting can get back to my posting le. Wuahah. Tonight I guess. Wohoo. Navy Boy...

4 more days to Pop... and WE ARE SO HAPPY AH!

Yohoo o my readers, (surprisingly there are still some and of cos my loyal ones=D) I am abck early becasue of A's.

Lugged my 20+kg duffel back home and then waited for Xav. That sad guy had to ait at the singapore ferry terminal for like 2 hurs plus b4 a bus came. So we took a cab to school and made it in time to see 5 girls( always the top) to collect the cert from Ms Lai. Brinda,Crystal, Elaine, Yung and Charmaine. Woot! I kinda of felt numb when I went to get my results. Somehow my brain says oh yes, the time has come, makes no difference what the results will be. The other half was like, holy shit...last year was crap....

I dun plan to mput my results here. U can just ask me directly online. I think my results are just average. considering what i have heard from my other friends from other schools. When I look at my Bronco coy though, I think i got the lousiest grades though. haiz.Koh Li yu, Chin yong and ming Zhi got 3As sia. Even my bunk mate marcus got at least an A.

Wuaha. got a treat from charmaine after the results. hahas. Went cafe cartel awith bo maine and qiling. I just felt ok for my results. not that fantastic or bad. Now the headache for me is the courses. For the A's I will just end it here, those who scored well, please get scholarshi and get out of this country, Hope to see you 6 years later, for those who did average, I hope to see u in uni. For the not so good ones, well, hope u can get into the course and dun worry, there will always be a future. =)

4 more days to POP and WE are so happy ah! back to camp in like 3 hours time. So ta da. promise to blog more once I POP-ed. 10 days block leave. alot of plans liao. Wohoo. I can go out too. come on book me book me!

IFC

Realised didnt talk much about my life in tekong after the 2 weeks confinement.This post is bout IFC. So interested then read, may bore u out at some parts.

Hmm, came back le then straight away sent to fieldcamp. this is 6 days 5 nights as compared to commandos got 8 days. Well, did the 8km route march. Kinda of killed me. Cos i wore only 1 pair of socks. then the terrain was like, I dunno, kind of like bedok Reservoir. Super rocky. My whole feel turned sore. reached the campsite and started to pack all the stuff. IFC was about stuff to do whenu battle in the jungle. I didn't like it. But still did it la. Experienced my first shitting experience in the outdoor. hahas. beside me was my section mate, we were like making grunting noises while we tried to shit. My mind said, ''Come on shit!" but my ass couldn't. Sian half. Got conflict like that. in the end one small lump of shit like the size of 3 hershey's choc came out of my ass. Used some soil to cover up then go off le. Some other recruits like have chemical warfare or what, shit like free. One big chunk lor. Methane all over the air. When we pee, we will always say ,"Firers, unbutton ur pants. Grass patch, own time own target carry on!"

Sleeping in basha and another male beside u was a heeluva experience. Talking about the girls we like, talking about studies, and the the next thing u realise, ur platoon sergeant trying to stuff himself in between us. LOL. My buddy and I was shocked. Luckily encik called for him after awhile. Oh well, if u are lucky, you are allowed to sleep in the cowboy style. It is simply just laying your groundsheet on the floor and sleep on it. with no shelter over you. That is the best thing everyone were looking for. When you look up, the whole scenery is very captivating. The moment before you close your eyes and sleep, it is the best scene you wanna capture, you can see the stars and with the palm trees forming the border. Really nice, then you will go into deep slleep. most of us woke up when the temp dropped a few degree celsius. It is really cold no joke. The ground will be call due to water condensation i think. My science knowledge is slowly flowing away..

Hmm, combat rations are actually quite nice. They are created by DSTA. I like the deserts. Yummy=D you dun actually have to use the forks or sppon to eat. Just eat the food like bisucits like that. LOL. There is alot of biscuits too consume. SO practically can keep eating the whole day la.

3rd day was the worst i guess. that was when it rained for 3 days . When we started digging the shellscrape, it rained. Not just rain, it was a downpour for 3 -5 hours. Couldn’t remember. We ate diner with rainwater. underwear soaked totally. The feeling was what the sergeants described as orgasm. After dinner , continued helping m buddy to dig the trench. Everyone were practically shivering. Our whole hand shriveled When hot horlicks came, everybody were like refugees. Alll from the top of the lope chiong all the way down. Now that is what i call desperation. Hot horlicks flowing down your throat is damn shiok man. On an advice, when u are feeling cold, keep eating food, munching them . Your body will feel warmer supposedly. So yeah lor. I dunno whether to describe the experience as ordeal or unforgettable. After that night, my determination upped a few notches. I never expected I could survive through a freezing night, digging a freaking huge hole in rain, with my lower legs stck in mud. Well, army life. doing the stuff you once thought it was impossible.

BIC was like some battlefield. 17 years ago, I was crawling in diapers. 17 years later, I find myself crawling in long 4(army uniform). amazing eh. With my rifle and my buddy by my side=D
This was a test of endurance, i really felt live rounds above my heads, cos i supposedly was crawling damn slowly, was one of the last few. Quite an experience man. Whole body was sand later.

Fieldcamp basically was like this. Some companies were lucky, didnt got wet for 6 days. For me, not that. My company supposedly have this streak of raining at some major events. LOL. After the VS sec 3 camp, IFC was more or less the same in terms of dirtiness and muddiness. Bonding between mates were also there. Difference was the training and the stuff we do. So i guess most VS guys should have no prob doing that.. So yup yup. that bout it I guess.

cant think of any new titles, so yeah lo. anyway yup back from the wonderful island of tekong again. This weekend no need to type any reflections, hence got the mood to blog. hehe=D

Hmm, good news for my sis. Very happy for her. I think she gonna have a wonderful career ahead. LOl. Saying it here but not when she told me for the first time. Hmm. people tired mah. Wah biang then still complain to mum some more. Everything at home been much the same, my table having more NUS NTU and SMU letters. The more i stare at them the more i worry whether can i enter into any of them a nto. Pray pray pray!

The biggest news for now is the Mas Selemat. How the heck can this fella escaped from a Prison and the prison is located in SINGAPORE some more. My whole section was freaking shocked when we saw the headlines. Hmm, still at large. Must be hiding on the top of the tre, or some huge canals. Who konews, guess some heads have to rolls. Eek. Sergeants were like telling us to use our BCCT skills to fight him if we see the limping guy. Come on catch the guy. ON GUARD!

anyway, A level results 100 percent coming out this week. Which day? I dunno. Firday? most likely bah. Since no news today. So yeah man. B4 NS, i cleared my entire cupboard. Look at this current jc students and j1s and soon to be jc students. this is what u have to absorb for the 1 years. I think other people will have more. 1.55 m of notes. Forgot the volume of it le. Lol.

Met a very kind malay man today. Went gym with Xavier. We were like noobs in the gym, keep doing the same machines. He dropped his phone and only realised that it was missing when we were at the army shop. Panic sia. Chionged all the way back, and the malay man was waiting for us to return to collect the phone. The world still has good people man=D Some way or another, we felt kinda of enlightened after this incident.

8 more days to POP. Exciting man. Wohoo. This whole week going to be drills and more drills again. there maybe SOC again. Phew my low rope, run to there and i am out of strength. sian half. JL . My past. Need to overcome it. And dirlls and more drills. woohoo!
